The transition from a traditional model of ministry (Strategy A) to a commitment to a Biblical strategy of multiplying disciples (Strategy B) requires a great deal of COURAGE! Why? Because it is like crossing a great river. We see the other side. We know we want to get there. But we look at the river crossing and we naturally experience FEAR. This is why, when God or his angels often show up with revelation, the first words spoken are "Take Courage!"
If you are looking at the Disciple-Making Movement strategy (DMM), but you have not committed yourself with to it with your whole being, it could be that fear is keeping you from giving yourself to God's plan!
Take courage! Don't allow the enemy or your own fears to rob you of fruitfulness in the kingdom of God that will be eternal! God's plan is clear! Go... make disciples... who obey the commands of Jesus... who will then go and make disciples. Your own plans of denominations or organizations or buildings or positions will not accomplish the kingdom plan of God. Only God's strategy will lead to real fruit that will remain. Eternal fruit that will come from the harvest of many.
Yes, the river crossing is there. Yes, you will have to leave behind your own plans, your own security, your own ambitions in order to cross. But take courage! God will be with you and will do more than you can imagine because you are putting into practice his plan. His authority and power will be with you. Take courage! Go for it!
