What is God's strategy for reaching every person according to the Bible?
Strategy A is the traditional way we all been taught to reach people using buildings and money.
Strategy A requires:
- Land
- Building
- Seats
- Pulpit
- Instruments
- Everything costs money and takes time
Strategy A is the Come and Sit strategy
Strategy B is the Biblical strategy that Jesus gave us in Matthew 28:18-20: “Go into all the world… make disciples… baptize them… teach them to obey.” This disciple will obey, go and reach others who
will also obey.
This strategy leads to a disciple making movement (DMM). Each disciple will go and obey and make more disciples who will go and make more disciples.
Disciples multiply and movements spread everywhere.
Strategy B is the Go and Multiply strategy
Strategy B requires that we understand the Biblical definition of ‘church.’
The common definition of church that has come from people:
- Building
- Denomination
- Organization
- A place to go to worship God
Biblical definition of church – introduced by Jesus:
Eklessia which means “people who have been called out from the world to be followers of Jesus.”
Church is People! Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:16: “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
Strategy B releases ALL disciples to be involved in Going, Making Disciples, Baptizing Disciples in the Name of Jesus Christ, and teaching the disciples to obey and GO! Matthew 28:18-20.
